Tea for a Better Metabolism: Incorporate Tea into Your Daily Routine

Ignite your inner fire with Happy Leaf Tea.

Why boost your metabolism?

  • Increased energy: A revved-up metabolism burns fuel more efficiently, leaving you feeling energised and ready to tackle the day! ‍

  • Weight management: A faster metabolism burns more calories, even at rest, making it easier to maintain a healthy weight.

  • Improved health: A good metabolism supports everything from digestion to blood sugar control, keeping your body functioning at its best.

And guess what? Happy Leaf Tea can be your secret weapon!

Our carefully crafted blends are packed with natural ingredients that give your metabolism a gentle nudge in the right direction. Here are a few of my favourites:

  • Green Tea: Packed with EGCG, a powerful antioxidant that studies suggest can boost metabolism and aid in fat burning. It contains caffeine and a type of flavonoid called catechin, which is an antioxidant. Research suggests that these can speed up metabolism. Catechin can help to break down excess fat, while both catechin and caffeine can increase the amount of energy the body uses

  • Oolong TeaOolong tea burns fat while you sleep. Researchers at the University of Tsukuba have found that tea and caffeine help you lose weight while you sleep. The experts report that drinking two cups of oolong tea per day triggers the breakdown of fat overnight.

  • Rooibos : The South African super blend! It may be especially effective when it comes to fat burning. A 2014 test-tube study showed that rooibos tea increased fat metabolism and helped block the formation of fat cells.

But it's not just about the tea itself! Take some mindful moments to savour each sip, incorporating the ritual of brewing and enjoying into your daily routine. This adds a layer of stress-reducing mindfulness, which can also indirectly support a healthy metabolism.

How to Brew

Green Tea - Pour your water into you mug then add the tea leaves and leave for 2-4 minutes. Do not pour boiling water over green tea - it will burn the leaves.

Rooibos - Leave to steep for as long as you like - the longer the better - more antioxidants are released. 100ºC and it is okay to pour the water over the leaves.

Oolong Tea - This tea can be re-steeped a number of times. Brew just under boiling for 1-5 minutes.
